Singlecare provides instant savings on prescription drugs at over 40,000 pharmacies nationwide.

In todays' economy, Singlecare provides a valuable service to those who need it most. With a quick search customers can find savings on their prescription drugs. No insurance necessary. In Q1 the product and engineering team had been driving efforts towards improving SEO and organic search. While exploring projects for Q2 we realized the homepage hadn't been updated in over a year. Before diving into a redesign we decided to test a hypothesis: A more engaging header will increase search activity.

Wireframes

We conducted an initial audit of the homepage "as is" to identify areas of improvement. Hotjar heatmaps gave us a rough idea of where our users gravitated to and what wasn't working. We decided to iterate on the existing modules and add more compelling content such as social proof.

Visual Exploration

I worked directly with our frontend engineers to prototype and implement an animated H1 treatment. SEO pulled the top ten RX search results based on the last 90 days of search data in GA.

Results

While our test didn't end up reaching the level of confidence we needed to declare a successful winner it was still a worthwhile effort. We were able to learn what wasn't working and leverage that feedback to drive improvements. Using platforms such as Optimizely gave our team the ability to validate design decisions with low lift from our engineering team.
